Responsibilities

Groupmuse is a platform enabling communities to connect over art through classical music house party-concerts. Right now, we have around 5 events per week in Boston. Your job will be to help create and lead on executing strategies to grow that community. It won’t involve hard sells or pressure, just upbeat advocacy for our platform, creative ideas about on-the-ground marketing, and lots of follow-through.

The internship will run from June 1, 2016 to September 1, 2016. We require 10–20 hours of work each week, including a weekly check-in with the CEO. It is unpaid, but successful interns will receive strong letters of recommendation, valuable work experience in a fast-paced and fast-growing arts company, and a great deal of flexibility and support.

Qualifications

  • Commit to 10–20 hrs/week of work from June-August. We’re happy to be flexible about start and end dates, and vacation, for the right candidates.
  • Have a laptop and a web connection.
  • Personable and enthusiastic about our mission, with effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle a wide variety of projects and contacts without dropping them.
  • Comfortable communicating online, and being a key member of a small, free-wheeling, warm, and casual team.

How to Apply

Send a resume and cover letter to Sam Bodkin, CEO, at sam@groupmuse.com. No calls please. Only candidates we wish to interview will be contacted.

We welcome applications in pairs! This position will require close and collaborative work, so please feel encouraged to apply with a friend.
